With a new building purchased in 2001, the immediate need for the Society is to restore and renovate 183 Main Street to become suitable for the large cache of archives the Society has accumulated. The goal of the Society is to make the new building a premiere site for viewing archives of the Greater Oneonta area, provide a place for people to conduct research and attend numerous programs about local history. In time, and as finances allow, the Society will bring archives out of storage. Your financial and volunteer support will help the Society add to the improving quality of life in the old central city business district.
